Having worked with SlideSpiel in a separate capacity with in person events and having had a good experience I was confident it would be replicated online, but delays in the SSO left us testing connections with less than 24 hours to implement changes before going live. The system also suffered due to the underlying technology used to run the videos being blocked by security technology used by some attendee networks. The show director was woefully unprepared to triage issues as they cropped up and was unable to effectively run two tracks simultaneously as had been agreed. The conference was a six day event spread across two weekends and the we ended up canceling the final five days and moved to Zoom for the rest of the show. While I truly hope other organizations had a better experience and I personally like the team there for other services, I cannot recommend the virtual platform.
